The ICFFCY youth team was created in 2009 during the 6th Children and Youth Film Festival workshops sessions. This group of teenagers, nine of them at the time, made a very nice and original film around the theme of Children’s Rights entitled “Drawing a smile”.
Four of them decided that the experience of filmmaking had to continue. They continued to meet with their coach, and decided to write a script.
In 2011, the script was complete. Casting, shooting and editing was made and The Fish Has Flown Away (link) became a long-term workshop with three main aims: to have fun, to make friends, to learn how to make films.
